Ranger Doug’s WPA Historic National Park postcard set of 16 includes Petrified Forest National Monument (before Petrified Forest was designated as a National Park in 1962), Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park geyser, Glacier National Park, Zion National Park, Bandelier National Monument, Grand Canyon National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Yosemite National Park, See America Cave, Wind Cave National Park, See America Arches, Yellowstone National Park waterfall, Mount Rainer National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Fort Marion National Monument.
Between 1935 and 1943 the WPA’s Federal Art Project printed over two million posters in 35,000 different designs to stir the public’s imagination for education, theater, health, safety, and travel.
Due to their fragile nature, only two thousand original posters have survived. Continuing with the original screen-printing method of making these soft-textured posters, Ranger Doug Enterprises has resurrected the original art form to make these available to the public again.
