Two Grey Hills Counted Cross Stitch Kit: Rugs of the Southwest Series

$23.95

Two Grey Hills is in an area located on the east side of the Chuska Mountains which lies on the eastern edge of teh Navajo Reservation. Geographically, it is situated in the northwest corner of New Mexico, north of Gallup.

The rug’s name comes from the particular color and style the women of this area weave. The colors in these rugs are created by carding natural sheep wool together (black, white, and brown) to produce varying shades of grays and tans.

Traditionally the design is geometric with a central element and corner triangles. Fancy borders are becoming commonplace and the outside is surrounded in black.
