The Teec Nos Pos (“Circle of Cottonwoods”) area is where the corners of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona meet.

The rugs woven here how a Persian influence because early traders circulated examples of oriental rugs among weavers for design ideas.

The typical rug is characterized by intricate designs and full use of colors. Elements of zigzags, serrated diamonds, triangles and boxes are common. Often a double border exists, the outside one consisting of a broad design.

This kit contains 14 ct. Aida cloth, 6 strand embroidery floss, graph, needle, color photo and instructions. The amount of floss needed has been calculated using 3 strands. If you prefer, you can work the kit using 2 strands, but it will not look as dense. Use the color photo as a guide for stitching.
