Petrified Forest Youth- Colorado Plateau Night Sky Tee

Petrified Forest National Park was established as an International Dark Sky Park in 2018. By replacing the old light fixtures and light bulbs, the park protects a naturally dark-sky without artificial light domes impeding on the landscape.

Natural dark skies are important to maintain a healthy ecosystem for the nocturnal species found in the park. The darkest places in the park fall under Class 3 on the Bortel scale and offer spectacular views of the Milky Way Galaxy and other hidden celestial objects.
