Petrified Forest Field Institute

The Petrified Forest Field Institute (PFFI) offers guided hiking tours exploring a variety of fun and compelling subjects. You’ll be able to dig fossils with the park paleontologist, explore Blue Mesa and Devil’s Playground with world-class geologists, or tag reptiles in the dark of the night with park biologists.

You can take an adventurous hike while learning about the early native tribes who called this area home or explore the park from one end to the other covering a multitude of topics.

For those who want to capture it with their camera, join a professional photographer to learn the best way to capture the park’s many moods.

There is something for nearly everyone. The diversity of our classes reflects the diversity of Petrified Forest National Park!

Are you interested in a custom class? We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs and desires.

Head on over to www.petrifiedforestfieldinstitute.org to learn what classes are being offered and sign up for a class today!
