Book Signing by Hugh K. Tirrell on August 3, 2014

I Am Arizona by Hugh K. TirrellThe Petrified Forest Museum Association is excited to host a signing for Hugh K. Tirrell’s book, “I Am Arizona”, the first in the “I Am America” series.  The event will be in the Painted Desert Visitor Center (Interstate 40, exit 311) on Sunday, August 3, 2014, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Hugh has traveled to 49 of the states during his 35 year career creating and selling motivational films/DVD’s and found that people knew very little about their own states, let alone other states in the country.  This compelled him to create a series of fun, visual books about each state.  He decided they would be different, using photos in addition to the illustrations throughout the books. The text would be written to be ‘performed’ by many actors portraying the various animals, birds, and cacti, telling the listener about themselves. The series is sure to be cherished by all ages.

Hugh Tirrell | Author of “I Am Arizona”Hugh moved to Scottsdale, Arizona 12 years ago and was so struck by Arizona’s beauty and cultural history, he began his “I Am America” series with Arizona.  “The state is so uniquely visual, it was easy to create a book with stunning pictures.”

Join us at the Painted Desert Visitor Center in the Petrified Forest National Park on Sunday, August 3, 2014, to have your copy personalized for yourself, your classroom or your children. With the holidays around the corner, this special book will make a lovely gift.
